But it did give me some things to include in today's "Thankful Thursday" post.

This week, I'm thankful for...
My son. He makes me me. I can't imagine my life without him.
My husband. He loves me and my son SO much and he shows it. I feel so lucky to have him as my partner in life!
My dog. He misses our other dog a lot. He has been mopey and just not himself lately. But I'm so grateful that he's still here with us and shows us unconditional love...ALWAYS.
Our health. After seeing my son sick this week with some sort of fluke virus, I have to say that I'm so thankful for the fact that we're all relatively healthy. I am thankful for his doctor who is so attentive and sweet towards him. I am thankful that we are able to get in our cars and drive to the doctor's office without hesitation if we need to. I am thankful that we have health care in this country and that it is easily accessible.
My son's preschool teachers. With teacher appreciation week upon us, I have to give a shout out to my son's awesome, awesome teachers. They think of him as their own child and love him completely. I couldn't ask for better teachers, and he loves them just as much as they love him.
In other news, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY! WOO HOO! I just love birthdays - and, believe me - I milk it for all it's worth. The celebration officially begins on May 1st. Any time I want something, my excuse is that it's my birthday month. My husband is tired of hearing it already, but I really don't care.
In case you were wondering, I'm the big 3-3. When I was younger, I always thought of 30 as so old, but now that I'm past that milestone, it's not so bad. (I mean, I'd rather still be in my 20s, but whatever.)
And now I'll leave you with this:

ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteHappy Birthday!!! Hope it was a perfect one (minus a sick child)!
ReplyDeleteI need to start doing thankful posts, they're so positive!
Oh, thank you! And I agree with you - staying positive is so important and remembering the good in our lives instead of always focusing on the bad.
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
Hey, Happy Late birthday! I actually found you via CaraLoren, who I love btw! I just came over and checked your blog out and it reminds me of myself. I would love for you to check out my blog and tell me what you think!! kapinney.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kimberlee, for stopping by! I'm heading over to your blog right now!
DeleteThose are great things to be thankful for. You can say that health care is even more accessible now, with a large portion being covered by it, and insurance companies being obliged to help them. And they are more than willing to help, I assure you. I hope your son is fine now, and that he has recovered from his ailment. Lastly, I know it's been months, but I wish you a happy, albeit belated, birthday. Cheers!
